PC/Server Compatibility and System Requirements

• Windows 2000 SP3/XP/Vista

• Approx. 100MB Hard disk space

• CD-ROM drive for installation

• Palm HotSync Manager software version 4.0 or higher (for Palm OS handhelds)

• ActiveSync 3.7 or higher (for Pocket PCs)

• Microsoft Access 2000, 2002/XP, 2003 or 2007 is recommended.

• If you do not have Access 2000, 2002/XP, 2003, or Access 2007, an Access 2003 runtime is included in the Pendragon Forms Evaluation Download and Electronic Versions. Please follow the download instructions and select the appropriate file.  The download that includes the Access runtime is a large download.  The Access 2003 runtime requires Windows Vista, Windows XP, or Windows 2000 with SP3.   

Palm OS Handheld Compatibility & System Requirements

Palm OS device running Palm OS 3.5, Palm OS 4.0 or higher recommended.  Includes devices manufactured by Palm, Symbol, JANAM.

 

Some features and options require devices with external storage media, high-resolution display (320x320 pixels or higher), and color display.

Pendragon Forms compatibility with older Palm OS devices

Pendragon Forms can be used on older devices with Palm OS 3.1, in field or record view.  Features since Pendragon Forms 4.0 including layout view, field sizing, font formatting and decorative graphics will not work on these devices.

Pocket PC Handheld Compatibility & System Requirements

Pendragon Forms 5.1 can be used with Pocket PCs that have

• Windows Mobile 2003 for Pocket PC

• Windows Mobile 2003 for Pocket PC, Phone Edition

• Windows Mobile 5.0 for Pocket PC

• Windows Mobile 5.0 for Pocket PC, Phone Edition

NOTE:  All of these devices have a touchscreen.

These include devices manufactured by HP, Dell, and Asus.

Pendragon Forms 5.0 does not support Windows Mobile Smartphone Edition which is designed for devices without touchscreens. For additional information on Pocket PCs, visit the Microsoft Windows Mobile device page.

Pendragon Forms compatibility with older Pocket PCs

Depending on the device manufacturer, some handheld computers with the Pocket PC 2002 operating system can be updated with Windows Mobile 2003 for Pocket PC.  Check your device manufacturer's support page for more information.

Handheld Memory Usage

Palm OS form application size: approximately 350KB (0.35MB). Each record is typically 64 bytes per field. Maximum of 64KB per record

 

Maximum of 128 forms per device.

Maximum of 250 fields per form.

NOTE:  We have not tested our software on all these makes and models.  This table is based on manufacturers' published specifications.
