Vibration and noise measurement data was collected paper forms while doing industrial hygiene exposure assessment on logging sites.  Inclement weather made data entry difficult.

Forms Development Time:

Approximately 20 hours.

Installation:

Several Pendragon Forms are used to enter exposure data directly into a Palm handheld.  Handheld data collection has also been expanded to include a questionnaire administered via a Pendragon Forms application.

Benefits:

• Elimination of data re-coding (from paper to database) which was quite time consuming. 

• Elimination of nasty, wet, illegible paper forms at the end of a long, blustery day in the field.

Substantial savings; the data entry budget has been eliminated, and the money saved has been used to expand research efforts.
